What makes an ESMO Advanced course different?
ESMO Advanced Courses are interactive educational courses, limited in size (approx. 60 delegates) in order to optimize interaction.
Participation is upon selection and at no costs for selected participants.
All courses in the programme have clearly defined learning objectives and address specific challenges in patient management in different tumour setting.
The first day includes state-of-the-art lectures, while the second day is fully dedicated to interactive workshops, run on a rotation basis.
Run by international experts, these courses complement the topics covered in the Preceptorship Programme.

Who are the courses aimed at?
These courses are designed primarily for experienced oncologists and other specialists (MDs). All ESMO members can apply to join. ESMO Advanced courses complement the topics covered in the Preceptorship programme.

Yes. Participation is limited to approx 60 delegates per course to ensure interaction with other participants and the faculty, offering at the same time great networking opportunities.
How long does each course last and where do they take place?
Courses are typically 1.5 days in duration and are held throughout the year mainly in Europe and in the Asia-Pacific area.
What’s included?
Places on courses are awarded on a competitive basis and there is no charge for course registration. Selected participants will receive free hotel accommodation, meals during the meeting and a networking dinner at the end of the first day is also included. Selected participants will receive a travel grant to cover the cost of their flight, typically up to 600 EUR.
Will I receive any ESMO-MORA CME points for participating?
Yes, each course is accredited with 8-12 ESMO-MORA category 1 CME points.
