Andrea De Censi graduated in Medicine and Surgery with first class honours at the Medical School University of Pavia in 1984. He went on to specialise in Medical Oncology at the Postgraduate Medical School, University of Genoa, Italy in 1987. In 2008 he earned the ESMO European Certification in Medical Oncology.
Dr De Censi did his PhD at the National Institute for Cancer Research in Genoa and since 1998 he has been working as Medical Doctor and Clinic Researcher at the same Institute.
Between 1995 and 2003 Dr De Censi was Medical Director of the Cancer Prevention and Genetics Division of the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, Italy.
Since 2004 Dr De Censi has been Director of the Medical Oncology Unit of the National Hospital E.O. Ospedali Galliera – S.C. Oncologia Medica in Genoa.
In 2013 he received the National Scientific Qualification as University Full Professor issued by ANVUR (National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes), an affiliate of ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education).
Dr De Censi is the author of more than 170 peer reviewed publications with a H-index = 38 and reviewer for the most important oncology journals.
He is a Member of ESMO, ASCO and AACR. Dr De Censi is principal investigator in more than 30 clinical trials and holder of a Master agreement with the National Cancer Institute for phase I and phase II clinical trial for the year 2004 up today.
