Fedro Peccatori, MD PhD, is Director of the Fertility and Procreation Unit within the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Gynecology at the European Institute of Oncology, Milan Italy. 

He is a medical and gynecologic oncologist whose clinical activities mainly include diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, gynecological malignancies and tumors of young adults. 

His main research projects deal with fertility preservation and counselling in young oncological patients, pharmacological protection of ovarian function during chemotherapy, clinical and molecular characterization of pregnancy associated cancers and research protocols for the treatment of breast and gynaecological malignancies.

As past president of PROFERT he has contributed to build up the Italian network of fertility preservation for cancer patients. In 2012 he has received research grants from the Ministry of Health for a project on cancer and infertility (CCM program) and has acted as referee for European Journal of Chemoprevention, Annals of Oncology, The Breast, International Journal of Gynecologic Cancer, PLOS, Lancet Oncology and Ecancermedicalscience. 

He’s in the editorial committee of Ecancermedicalscience, Cancerworld and Critical Reviews Oncology Hematology.

At present, he acts as Scientific Director at the European School of Oncology (ESO), where he’s in charge of organizing and supervising international courses and masterclasses on different oncological issues.

Fedro Peccatori is author and co-author of 142 publications or letters on peer reviewed journals, including New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, Annals of Oncology, Breast Cancer Treatment Reviews, Breast.

He is currently member of ESMO, ASCO, AIOM and ESGO.
