ESMO 2014 was a record-breaking congress for ESMO and the oncology community. Compared to ESMO 2012 in Vienna, the Madrid Congress saw a 24% increase in abstracts submitted (2,220 vs 2,745) and a 22% increase in attendees (16,202 vs 19,809) who travelled from 134 different countries.
An enormous amount of cutting-edge clinical research following the theme ‘Precision Medicine in Cancer Care’ was presented during the Congress. Attendees benefited from the largest programme ever with presentations given by the top experts in oncology. Practicing precision medicine means we are all working towards a common goal—improved patient outcomes. That was the ultimate goal of the Congress.
Thank you for making ESMO 2014 a great success!
Webcasts are online for ESMO members. Event attendees whose registration included webcast access have access to the congress webcasts for six months following the event.
