ESMO 2017: Young Oncologists Track

The Young Oncologist (YO) Track Sessions are specially designed by young oncologists for young oncologists and initiated by the ESMO Young Oncologist Committee (YOC). The sessions are educational and cover topics which are highly relevant to YOs in their daily practice and/or research activities.

YO Track sessions are always very popular and well attended, and for good reasons: not only do attendees acquire a deeper knowledge on key aspects, but the sessions also provide attendees with a platform for networking with other oncology professionals.

Here below, you can find the overview of the 2017 YO Track which was packed with practical tips, information and take home messages from other young oncologists, those who have recently walked the career path you are on now, and senior key opinion leaders.

Matthias Preusser

I am proud and happy to be chairing the ESMO 2017 Young Oncologists Track. The Young Oncologists Committee has taken great care to propose interesting sessions for all our young colleagues: from medical students to fully-qualified oncologists.
This year’s track is richer and more varied than ever before. We have again included a Mentorship Session, which this year also includes basic science; the Masterclass is dedicated to excellence in clinical research, while one of the Brunch Sessions will include a case discussion involving the audience.
I am very much looking forward to the lectures, discussions and networking opportunities that will take place in Madrid!
