General Description

The Principe Felipe Research Center is a private non-profit research foundation, dependant upon the Regional Ministry of Health of Valencia, Spain. The CIPF is dedicated to multidisciplinary research in health, with the aim of taking on new challenges in the fields of basic and applied research and encouraging excellence in health-related disciplines.

The CIPF acts as a platform for strategic projects promoted by the Valencian Ministry of Health, assuming the competences needed to deploy and integrate solutions for health and social demands. Through its different programmes and multidisciplinary approach, the CIPF is leading key initiatives to investigate the mechanisms underlying the essential cellular processes in human pathologies including cancer.

Expertise

The scientific activity undertaken at the center is divided into four programs: The Molecular Basis of Human Disease, Neuroscience, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and Advanced Therapies, in which there are experts in different areas of oncology, from molecular signaling, biomarkers and therapy development to computational approaches for cancer research.

Breast, colon, liver, lung or endometrial cancers are the main neoplasms studied at the centre, nevertheless we have the expertise required to study any kind of cancer, through a range of complementary techniques and approaches, giving a complete view of the process.

Facilities

CIPF offers a wide range of facilities for researchers and clinicians, all of them with the highest standards of quality. The services provided give the opportunity to develop the most ambitious projects related to oncology and other fields, as they have implemented the most novel and reliable techniques. They are grouped in three blocks and all of them are managed by experts in the field:
