The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is an international leader in cancer research and development and is the largest single site cancer treatment centre of its kind in Europe. We are looking for a consultant with a specialist interest in Hepato-pancreato-biliary and Neuroendocrine Cancer (HPB/NET) to support clinical service and research.

The appointee will join a team of 38 Medical Oncology Consultants at The Christie. The successful applicant will become an active member of the HPB/NET Multidisciplinary Disease Group, with 4 consultants in total. Care and treatment will be delivered in the outpatient, ambulatory and inpatient settings from the main site in Withington. The existing service has an international reputation in the treatment of NET (accredited as a Centre of Excellence by the European NET Society (ENETS) in 2011, re-accredited for three years in 2014).

The new consultant will also contribute to the very active clinical research programme (predominantly phase II/III) with close links to basic research laboratories in the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute and the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre.

The successful applicant will either be appointed to the Consultant scale (full-time equivalent £76,761 - £103,490 per annum) as appropriate depending on experience.
