Clinical Research Fellowships in Experimental Cancer Medicine 

Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for new appointments as Clinical Research Fellows in Experimental Cancer Medicine at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. We seek ambitious, innovative individuals to act as co-investigators on Phase I clinical trials. They will also be eligible to enrol on a fully funded Masters (MRes) program in Experimental Cancer Medicine at the University of Manchester to enable formal training in this field.

These positions are suitable for individuals in medical oncology specialist training who wish to gain further experience in experimental medicine and Phase I trials, including first-in-human trials, clinical pharmacology trials and translational research. The team is supported by medical and clinical oncology colleagues in all major tumour types.

In the post you will gain extensive clinical experience, working with a variety of new therapeutics, immunological agents and chemotherapeutics. The opportunity to present work on a national and international scale is anticipated. There will also be significant involvement in translational research and precision medicine initiatives. The posts are available for a 12 month period initially with funded enrolment onto the MRes program.
