ESMO Faculty

The ESMO Faculty combines ESMO members with special expertise in medical oncology or related fields, thus to promote a multidisciplinary approach to cancer. All Faculty members are committed to helping ESMO with its educational responsibilities.

Key Activities and responsibilities

  • Presenting at congresses and educational meetings
  • Reviewing clinical guidelines
  • Acting as ESMO spokespersons towards external partners and the media
  • Collaborating in drafting the Educational programme of the ESMO congress

Structure

  • Composed of 17 topic groups, each with its own Faculty Coordinator
  • One Faculty Coordinator for each group to represent the group within the Educational Committee (EDC) and acts as a liaison between the EDC and the group members
  • Appointed by the Educational Committee/Steering Committee on the basis of their expertise
